3D ECHO - Perinatal Mental Health (PRISM) Clinic
Frontier Psychiatry, in partnership with Mountain-Pacific Quality Health, invites you to join our newest 3D ECHO offering: PRISM Perinatal Mental Health Clinic.
Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) is a peer-to-peer education model that empowers clinicians to treat patients where they live. The goal is to reduce disparities among rural and under-served communities. Through innovative telementoring, the ECHO model uses a hub-and-spoke knowledge-sharing approach by which expert teams lead virtual clinics, increasing the capacity for providers to deliver best-in-practice care to the underserved in their own communities. Our expert hub will present didactics that will empower clinicians in the following: evidence-based best practices in the care and treatment of pregnant and postpartum patients who have mental health concerns, including medication management, behavioral therapies, and access to community resources. Participants will have the opportunity to present real-time, complex de-identified patient cases to receive patient recommendations from the ECHO hub and community participants. Project ECHO is a proven and successful model that will help reduce stigma and barriers in the treatment of pregnant and postpartum patients for mental health and substance abuse concerns. There is no cost to participating sites for Project ECHO.
The PRISM Perinatal Mental Health Clinic will launch on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. The Clinics will be held the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month through October 2021 from 12:00PM - 1:00PM MST.
